What draws people to rope bondage, Shibari or Kinbaku? For some, it’s the wholly unique sensation—the texture, tension, pressure, and layers of intensity. For others, it’s the profound sense of security that can emerge when trust is placed literally in another person’s hands.
Rope can create a language of power exchange, where giving, receiving, leading, and surrendering become deeply embodied experiences. It is also its own art form: lines, patterns, knots, and shapes transforming the body into a living canvas.
Like many people, rope was my entry point to the wonderful world of kink. As a bottom, or model, I enjoy physically challenging suspensions in both Western and Naka styles. My style as a top continues to evolve, but remains grounded in safe practice and backed by years of study. Many of the photos in my gallery are self tied!
I tie primarily with posh, a washable and hypoallergenic synthetic originally designed for sailing. All of my hardware is climbing-grade and rated to at least 20kN. For those interested in suspension, I utilize a portable aerial rig rated for a 2,000lb static load— for the safety of myself and/or my bottom, I will not tie from a hardpoint that has not been installed or approved by an experienced rigger.
